Expert skin lesion assessment and cryotherapy treatment from a GMC-registered doctor with over 30 years’ experience in dermatology and general practice.
Hello, I’m Dr Rob Price, a GMC-registered doctor with over 30 years’ experience in general practice and dermatology. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of patients, combining expert medical knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach.
I spent many years working within the NHS Dermatology Departments at Poole and Bournemouth Hospitals, performing numerous minor surgical procedures and running specialised cryotherapy skin clinics. I’ve also gained international experience in Australia, diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin lesions in 24-hour medical centres in NSW and North Queensland, in both NHS and private practice.
I have undertaken extensive postgraduate training in dermatology, including advanced dermoscopy training in Manchester and London — a specialist technique used to diagnose skin lesions and differentiate benign from malignant changes.
Today, I’m proud to be partnering with CryoLabs and Cancer Clinic UK, bringing my expertise to private medical cryotherapy services. I personally assess and treat a variety of skin lesions, including seborrhoeic keratoses, actinic keratoses (sun spots), skin tags, viral warts and verrucae. Using liquid nitrogen delivered via a precision spray device, lesions can be safely and effectively treated. The procedure is quick, requires no anaesthetic and is tailored to each patient.
As there can be mild stinging, an anaesthetic cream (Emla cream) can be obtained from a chemist and applied one hour before treatment. This is particularly useful for children with warts or verrucae.
My priority is your safety and peace of mind. Every lesion is carefully assessed and clear guidance is provided before and after the procedure. If a lesion appears suspicious or is not suitable for cryotherapy, I will advise on the appropriate next steps, including referral to a specialist if necessary.
Conditions Treated
All assessments and treatments are carried out personally by myself.
No. Every lesion is assessed first and only treated if cryotherapy is clinically appropriate.
Most patients require one to two sessions, depending on the lesion.
Most patients return to normal activities immediately.
Yes, it is fine to shower or bathe after treatment. Simply pat the area dry with a clean tissue if it becomes wet.
If you would like to discuss your skin concerns and explore the right treatment options, please get in touch and I will be happy to guide you.
