CRYOTHERAPHY HEALTH BENEFITS

CRYOTHERAPY HAS MANY BENEFITS IN GENERAL MEDICAL CARE..

The use of extreme cold to treat a variety of medical conditions dates back to the Ancient Greeks and whole body cryotherapy, in lay terms, is the modern version of an ice bath. The technology originated in Japan in the late 70’s and was originally intended to treat patients with Multiple Sclerosis or Osteo or Rheumatoid Arthritis however it soon became apparent that there were many more medical conditions that could benefit from Professional Cryotherapy.

Whole Body Cryotherapy and, in particular, the professional medical quality chambers used by CryoLabs have been extensively used in mainstream medicine in parts of Europe (including Germany and Poland) for the past 3 decades as an established and well recognized treatment and therapy for a wide range of medical conditions including:

  • Multiple Sclerosis

Testimonial

I first attended cryotherapy as I was experiencing significant symptoms of topical steroid withdrawal. My symptoms ranged from neurological: I felt "brain zaps" frequently, to red, itchy, inflamed, and very hot skin. So hot that I couldn't lean back as I felt as though I had a boiling hot water bottle on my back. I was in so much pain and felt in utter despair.

My first cryotherapy session was amazing. The contrast of feeling so cold in comparison to my burning red skin felt wonderful. I knew that this would be hugely beneficial to me.

I attended 3 times a week for 3 months and I can say now that I am fully recovered from TSW. From reading other people's experience with TSW, it can take years to feel relief and so I feel very lucky to have come across cryotherapy.

I would highly recommend it for anyone suffering from any inflammatory condition or needing a mental health boost!

Eczema wise, I still have Eczema although I am on top of it and don't use any steroids. I may consider using cryotherapy once a week if required to keep my eczema symptoms at bay.

I will be eternally grateful to Robert and the team at the Glasgow Cryotherapy lab.

Thank you.

ENHANCE RECOVERY AND REDUCE INJURIES WITH CRYOTHERAPY

RELIEVE PAIN

Cryotherapy can help manage acute and chronic pain. The cold temperatures can numb the area and reduce inflammation, providing temporary pain relief - it's the same reason we use ice packs to soothe sore muscles! This is especially beneficial for conditions such as arthritis, tendonitis, and inflammatory skin conditions.

MANAGE WEIGHT

When you’re exposed to the cold, your core temperature drops. Your body's metabolism will work faster to keep you warm, which can help burn calories and aid in weight loss.

IMPROVE WELLBEING

Cold exposure can cause your body to release endorphins, which are natural mood-boosting hormones. Many people report feeling invigorated, refreshed, and in a better mood after cryotherapy sessions. Cryotherapy can also raise your energy levels and improve your sleep patterns, leading to improved mental wellbeing.
